Arizona High School Girls Spell Out N-Word for Picture Day

High school's rough for lots of reasons, trying to cope with puberty, the looming specter of college, and, of course, letting the whole world know that you might be a low-key racist. That last is a reference to a group of students on senior picture day at Desert Vista High School in Phoenix, Arizona.

That's right, a group of high school girls thought it would be totes abdorbz for their squad to spell out the most famous racial slur they could think of during picture day. The photo shows six smiling girls standing arm-in-arm wearing black shirts with letters written on them in gold tape. You don't need to be aWheel of Fortune wizard to figure out what they were trying to spell.

Naturally, the painfully tone deaf girls went viral forcing the school to distance itself from the photo, releasing a statement saying "That was not a school photo. That was taken off to the side somewhere and I don’t know who took it or who posted it. We found out about it when everyone else did, when it popped up on social media." Sadly, this isn't the first time that high school or college students thought it would be just hysterical to slur their way through way higher education, and I can guarantee you it wont' be the last.
